Robert A. Schwartz, MD, MPH, DSc (Hon)

PRESIDENT

Professor Robert A. Schwartz, one of the America's foremost dermatologists, is Professor and Head of Dermatology at New Jersey Medical School, one of the eight medical schools in the New York City metropolitan area. He is also Professor of Medicine, Professor of Pediatrics, Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Professor of Preventive Medicine and Community Health at the New Jersey Medical School. Professor Schwartz is a member of the Rutgers University Board of Trustees. He is the co-discoverer of AIDS-associated Kaposi sarcoma and Schwartz-Burgess syndrome.

TORELLO M. LOTTI, MD, MD (Hon)

PRESIDENT, WHA DERMATOLOGY

Professor Torello M. Lotti, Past President of the President of the International Society of Dermatology, is Professor and Chair of the Dermatology and Venereology at Marconi University in Rome, Italy. He is Honorary Professor of Dermatology at China Medical University in Shenyang, China and Chair of the Executive Scientific Committee at the Vitiligo Research Foundation in New York City, USA. He has been Professor of the Dermatology and Venereology at the University of Florence School of Medicine in Florence, Italy from 2006 to 2010.

GILBERT BUKENYA, MBChB, MSc, PhD

Professor Gilbert Balibaseka Bukenya is the Member of Parliament for Busiro North, serving continuously since 1996, and has served as the Vice President of the Republic of Uganda from 2003 to 2011. A distinguished academic and past Director of the Institute of Public Health at Makerere University, Professor Bukenya was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Makerere University in 1995. He has been the Minister In Charge of the Presidency from 2001 to 2003 and the Minister of State for Trade from 2000 to 2001.

VAIRA-VIKE FREIBERGA, PhD

MEMBER, BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Dr. Vaira Vike-Freiberga is President of the World Leadership Aliance Club of Madrid. As President of the Republic of Latvia in the years 1999-2007, she has been instrumental in achieving membership in the European Union and NATO for her country. She is active in international politics, was named Special Envoy to the Secretary General on United Nations reform and was official candidate for UN Secretary General in 2006. Dr. Vike-Freiberga has received many medals and awards. She has been awarded 37 Orders of Merit and 16 Honorary Doctorates.
